System Analyst

Duties & Responsibilities/ Job Description

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and technical feasibility.

  • Translate user needs into functional and non-functional specifications, including system flow, process mapping, and interface design.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, impact analysis, and risk assessments for proposed solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and business users throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Prepare detailed documentation such as BRD, FSD, Use Case, ER Diagram, System Flow Diagram, and Test Scenarios.

  • Participate in system design, integration planning, and support solution architecture development.

  • Support and conduct SIT/UAT with end users and resolve any issues identified before go-live.

  • Provide post-implementation support and ongoing system enhancement based on user feedback and change requests.

  • Ensure compliance with government IT standards and project governance frameworks.

  • Engage with government clients, understanding policy, regulation, and specific operational contexts.

  • If applicable, design solutions and data structures aligned with accounting/financial workflows and reporting standards.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a System Analyst, with at least 1–2 years in government-related IT projects.

  • Experience with accounting, finance, or ERP systems is highly desirable.

  • Solid understanding of system analysis methodologies, database structures (SQL), and API integration.

  • Strong documentation skills and experience with tools such as Draw.io, Figma, Visio, Jira, or Confluence.

  • Familiarity with government project processes including TOR review, e-GP systems, or public sector constraints is a plus.

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • English proficiency is a plus, especially for documentation and coordination with external vendors or agencies.
